4 Field Regiment – South Vietnam – 10th December 1967
Robert Birse was selected for entry to the Officer Cadet School in July 1963. He graduated as a Lieutenant from the Officer Cadet School, Portsea in June 1964. Robert was allocated to artillery with a posting to 4 Field Regiment.
LT Birse died as a result of wounds on 10 December 1967.
